Welcome to the Area 4 Republican Committee
Fellow Citizens of our Republic,
Welcome Visitors to the Area 4 Gop's Home website!
America is holding it's breath during the initial phase of the 2012 Presidential Election cycle. Whether you are looking to support long term politicians on the presidential scene like Mitt Romney or are tantalized by the business savvy and Tea Party's favorite gentleman, Cain. Whether you are looking for the western conservative outlook of Perry or the focused Michelle Bachman....it is all going on before our eyes!
However, I wanted to take a few moments and comment about what SHOULD be in your current focus and that is LOCAL politics. Our saying here at Area 4 is that All Politics are Local. With that we have our Owen J. Roberts School Board Candidates: John Stone ( President), Douglas Hughes (Vice-President), Bill Lacoff (nationally recognized leader),Pamela Clouser-Wolfe (new candidate with educational experience) and Renee DiLullo (new candidate with educational experience). The School Board has performed admirably with the leadership of Stone and Hughes, removing the cloud of just a few short years ago. Why, you may ask? Professional based leadership guiding our excellent school system!
On the municipal level we have newer Spring City Borough Council member, Michael Petak, Donald Shaner and Eugene Sweeney fighting for Spring City so that it can manage the thriftiest and efficient government that they can for you, the voters!
East Vincent has a huge contest with Jane Peronteau against the liberal Saul Rivkin in the General Election. Mr. Rifkin, you might recall, was the Chairman of the EVT Historical Committee who, along with Supervisor McNeil committed you to $ 130,000 of your local tax dollars for a ROOF! Add that to the other state grant of $120,000, ALSO FOR THE ROOF and your have........quite an expensive roof! Rivkin also saw fit to expense his private battle with the Pennhurst site and ask that you, the voters and tax payers of East Vincent, to pay for it....to the tune of approx. $ 30,000! Thanks, Mr. Rivkin. If that's any sample of whats to come, with approx. $ 300,000. in wasted cash already tunneled away, I just can't wait for the rest. This is why, on Election Day, chose current Planning Commissioner Jane Peronteau...smart, on point with the facts and a diligent mind that is set to work for US!
East Coventry's own, Tony Duffy is running hard for the Supervisor's chair. Tony's vast experience in the Pharma industry, as a Delco Planning Commission member and local volunteer is just what East Coventry need's...a land use expert with a business mind.
Last and not least, when you look at the Candidates Page, you will see retention for Commonwealth and Superior Courts and new candidates to the Chester County Court of Common Pleas...Anne Marie Wheatcraft and Mark Tunnell. Both candidates have the experience and know how to ensure that justice is served here in Chester County! Area 4's own Ryan Costello along with fellow County Commissioner, Terence Farrell are running to maintain our exceptional level of prosperity in these trying times. Please support them along with Bunny Welsh for Sheriff (first female in Pa. history), former Federal prosecutor, Tom Hogan, Bryan Walters of nearby Schuylkilll Twp as Prothonotary, Rick Lougherty as Recorder of Deeds and Terri Clark as Register of Wills.
Please do not forget to come out and vote on Election Day...Tuesday, November 8th from 7am until close. Remember, if someone trys to tell you that what you don't agree with on the National scene really doesn't equate to what is going on locally, don't believe it...ALL POLITICS ARE LOCAL!
Warmly,
Todd J. Bereda
Chairman

Jamie Frees - OJR School Board
It has been a really pleasure to serve our local constituents on the Owen J. Roberts School District. Since my time of being sworn in December, I have come to find that our school system has many hurdles in the next few years. One thing that really stood out the most of our school is the tremendous amount of unfunded mandates that are placed on our school. These mandates make up
